On many woodworking forums, I noticed that the performances of the Nicholson # 49 and # 50 rasps were often discussed.

This rasp is mainly intended for the American market. It is made on the basis of a modeller's rasp 12" without the tapered tip.
In order to be closer to the Nicholson rasp, I chose
the grain# 8 for the # 49 nicholson
and the grain# 11 for the # 50 Nicholson.

Excellent quality. Excellent product. Nicholson isn't making the good stuff any more, so this is an excellent surrogate if you can't find one of the originals.
