This rasp is mainly intended for the American market. It is made on the basis of a modeller's rasp 12" without the tapered tip.
In order to be closer to the Nicholson rasp, I chose
the grain# 8 for the # 49 nicholson
and the grain# 11 for the # 50 Nicholson.

Liogier rasps
i received the rasps and they are amazing! I’ve been using them all day to carve a double bass neck and I can’t put them down. The #8 is far better than my old Nicholson 49, and the #11 leaves a beautiful finish.
